Becoming a Christian is probably the beginning, not the end of difficult trials.
And this is firstly, because our sinful nature stays, thus, we are vulnerable to our sinful desires and habits.
Secondly, because satan wants to separate us from God and has a very effective toolbox for this purpose.
From what Ulrike has learned in her studies, the two common tools used by satan are:
1. to make us believe that satan does not exist.
2. to exaggerate his existence, thus, to make him bigger than he is.
Still he has a lot of seemingly "innocent" tools.
What I have experienced from my & other lifes' is that satan is very smart: he comes in unnoticed through our broken parts, he exactly knows our weak points.
Therefore, as Christians we have responsibility to examine ourselves, and to know not only our strengths, but also weaknesses. So that we would be prepared when the trial comes.
Even to know our weaknesses is a challenging task: everyone wants to be strong & perfect, isn't it so, guys? ;)
Still accepting your weaknesses is even a more complicated task, requiring a lot of courage & trust in God's mercy.
In conclusion, my last scan detected spiritual threats and neutralized them. Till the next scan :)
