Path-forming conversation / pokalbis prie arbatos

Four summarizing sentences:

1. Courtship is the time for knowing each other & checking if you would like this person to be your future husband/wife.
2. What God wants is that we stay pure because our bodies are His temple.
3. Being a couple is an exercise of self-control & both must help each other.
4. According to God's will, we should bring out the best in one another, thus, appreciate, inspire & support.

My conclusion: There are no perfect people, what matters is that you are perfect for me and I am perfect for you!

-----

1. Draugystė yra laikas skirtas pažinti vienas kitą ir ištirti ar noriu, kad šis žmogus taptų mano vyras/žmona;
2. Viešpats nori, kad išliktume skaistūs, nes mūsų kūnai yra Jo šventykla;
3. Todėl draugystė yra taipogi savitvardos ir ištvermės ugdymas, ir mes turim padėti vienas kitam išlikti kantriems;

Rapid Boom & Sudden Bang?

Having made such a rapid economic progress & political change since we gained our Independence in 1991, we have to stop & listen what the economic analysts note before rushing forward.

Though the index of economy growth was astonishing last years, there are some worrying factors.
Usage in comparison with 2005 has grown 13 % while the production stays the same. Another eye-catching sign is that usage (buying) is more & more based on loans.

Oh, it's good to read about Lithuania in Lithuanian! :)

Vilnius from the Gediminas tower.

Back to the cave-age? No way!

However, I am not against innovations as you might think after the previous article. :) I think ability to create and the power of our ideas-in-action is one of the similarities with God. I am just pointing out to the awareness of our actions & responsibility for what we create. Thus, it is being able to see how your piece of puzzle suits into the whole image. Is it adding to the sustainability or is it destroying peace & nature?

As Europe is increasing as an old generation, the care & support of the elderly people takes a great attention now. So firstly, prevention policy is being increased (and I think, it's a very good branch that we all take care of how to live healthy now that we wouldn't have to be suffering from severe diseases tomorrow).

Secondly, nano drug delivery is a very nice innovation, to my mind, because it ensures that the drug reaches/touches only the exact/tiny place it needed to reach, so there are no harmful side-effects of the drug.

Thirdly, tissue engineering is daily advancing. The principle of tissue engineering is very simple: the cell is taken out from the disfunctional organ of the body & is placed into a bioreactor where it multiplies. Then the new cell identical to the one taken out is brought to body again. This procedure enables good functioning of the sick organ.

Well, electro-stimulation is very expensive, but helpful top chronical back pain. These ones I find a good application of learning and knowledge. But if for instance, scientists discover how to multiply stem-cell from which all organs & tissues are created, that is a frightening view because then you don't know & control anymore what has grown and how to use it. Or putting chips into your central nerve system to control the damaged parts of the body (in this case it is used for good deed, but microchip in my head is another squary future from the phantasy movies
with everyone becoming robots & being controlled by the crazy scientists :))

I mean, people are selfish & many of them reach for power & wealth.
That maked some innovations vulnerable for bad usage.
The biggest examples of our times are
A-bomb & biochemical weapons.

Well, have a peaceful sleep! :))

Shifting learning to continuous progress or does learning move us to the unknown directions?

Last Thursday I attended the conference "Moving learning". Not that I've learned much new, but it was good to explore the current trends and cliches in HR area. Of course, the richest part was to share experience and ideas with the people who currently "sit in business" :)

The first presentation was forecasting the future according to the rapid technological changes & the world becoming small because of the internet network & the possibilities of international trade & wide communities of practice it provides. The funny thing was that the presentator was talking about the future things which are already happening in Japan (probably the highest advanced technological country in the world). He was forecasting that soon we will use our mobiles for everything, not only as a pleasure & business necessity, but that it will also become our wallet with which we pay. But it made me smile because that's already happening in Japan for a long time.

And today I've read a nice invention. Well, nice? I am always looking holistically & careful about innovations before we know their impact on us (our bodies & souls) & the environment (beautiful land we were meant to take care & protect).
But anyway, it is nice to read about advances and the scientists in Japan have created mini-tv in the glasses so that people travelling 4-5 hours a day wouldn't be bored.

Interesting, my question is just "Is it not harmful for eyes to be watching from so close? Is it adaptive to the central nerve system which ensures that the view we see reaches our vision consistent? Is it not too tiring the central nerve system responsible for our vision?"

The conclusion is that we live in the world of the science fiction.
Many things which were created in the scientific phantasy novels have already become true! So let us ask ourselves: where are we going? And what future do we want to provide to our (grand)children?

Vartai į platųjį pasaulį atsiveria / The gates to the wide world open up

The world is becoming more and more open and acceptive to Lithuania. Yesterday I've read in the news that European Union (EU) agreed that Lithuania enters Shengen's zone. So all the formalities should be taken care of till this december from when it is planned to start no-border regime.

It's nice news from one hand, but as we say "lazda turi du galus" ("evey stick has two sides").
It's good and comfortable for the decent citizens who don't have to wait 2 hours or more at the border. But it also creates better conditions for smuggling drugs & doing other criminal actions.

Svajonėj pasiklydus / saved by a dream

Sometimes dreams are all we need, because at this moment we can still be not ready for our dreams to come true.

Nida: a beautiful landscape of Lithuania captured with my eyes.

Kas verčia suktis pasaulį / what keeps the world turning

Keistas tas gyvenimas,
viena diena atneša visai ką kitą
nei sekanti...
Štai Lietuvoje dauguma mano draugių
buvo merginos
ir nesibaigianti tema nuo paauglystės
būdavo meilė,
svajonės apie princą ant balto žirgo,
nemigos naktys
ir draugiškas petys apverkti nelaimingą meilę
ir kartais atrodydavo, kad pasaulis toks neteisingas
ir tos ašaros niekados nesibaigs,
nes svajonės taip toli nuo tikrovės
tartum kitoje galaktikoje...

Kartais jaučiuosi it tyrėja

The pictures are taken by me with my mobile (that explains poor quality, but still captures the magic of the wonderful piece of Lithuania - the Curonian Spit which is included in the UNESCO heritage).

Dreamish reality

My friend from the university told me that I am an idealist. I replied that I am a realistic dreamer and we create reality from our dreams.

When we don't have dreams, our wings are cut.
And we do exist, but not live truly.

It's phantastic to dream, I mean, in general,
about many things ;)
and even more amazing to see how God fulfills your dreams...
