I always thought love would bring me happiness,
I think I was looking for it
as a finally deserved present
after the deep & long suffering,
I expected it to shine through all the bad times
keeping me warm as the Sun,-
I was wrong.
I am learning more and more
that one can find happiness not related to love.
And love can hurt so much.
Or maybe not love, but people.
Maybe it's more precise to say
that to the ones we love,
we give the biggest power to hurt us.
Thus, love does not bring you happiness,
(at least not for me :)
it transcends your boundaries
and teaches you to be sensitive
and to truly care for the other.
