The queen Elizabeth II has recently visited Lithuania. She was glad about the established and strengthened relations between the UK and Lithuania.Her quote:
"We are delighted to see how fast You (Lithuania) have become from the international support receivers to the international support givers. We are fascinated how well you add to the international security issues."
From another article, the Lithuanians were called new Irish ("naujieji airiai"), because there are many Lithuanians ( many in comparison with our small population) and Irish people are very satisfied with the Lithuanians' work and character.
Though from time to time we hear about Lithuanian criminals abroad, the rate of criminality amongst Lithuanians is not bigger than the rate of any other EU country.
But returning to the point, how is Elizabeth II connected to LT, the answer is she has not only blue ;), but also Lithuanian blood, she got it from the Lithuanian Duke's Kazimieras' daughter Sofija, who married German aristocrat guy :)
