Viena gera žinia ir viena bloga žinia...One good news & one bad news

The good news is that Lithuanian group "LT United" was elected to Eurovision finale. Lithuania finally got some recognition from Europe! :)

The bad news is that Lithuania didn't match the criterions needed to establish euro as a national currency in 2007. Thus, the conclusion is that at least 1.5 year is yet to wait for euro in Lithuania.

Well, concerning euro, I wouldn't be in so much dispair. UK doesn't have euro, Sweden, as far as I remember as well. At least in the airport of Copenhagen you buy goods in Danish kron (sorry, don't know how it is spelled in English..) I don't know about their economy, but still they are good countries:)) There is so much rumour now about this decision of EC, but... I agree with those who say that situation of Lithuanian people should be taken into account, because for some of them it will definitelly be very difficult. You know, Lora, how strong our social policy is... or maybe you don't... :?
For me, because of the traveling,it would be good to have common currency because I am sick of exchanging currency everytime I go out:)) Still..

Take a look at the winners, Finland.... Europe is becoming really a shame to the rest of the world. (luckay The Netherlands was not in the finals;)

yeah, well, have you watched the finals? I wouldn't have voted for Finland, but their advantage was that they definitely differed from the others. The melody, to my mind, was quite catchy, of course, the words:"hard rock, hallelujah"??? :)

Yeah really weird lyrics actually, bit demonic.
